| Description: | A New Folk Dance Club (2017) - All WelcomeBeginners welcomed & encouraged. No experience necessary, just enthusiasm and a sense of fun. All dances are walked through and explained. No need to bring a partner. What is English Country Dancing?English country dancing is social and friendly. The atmosphere is informal and no special clothing is needed. It is not hard to learn. A caller prompts the dancers to move in a number of specific 'figures' or movements; sometimes holding hands, sometimes by themselves. The instruction for each figure is given in time with the music and there is no need to rely on memory alone. What Kind of Dancing Is It?We dance mostly English Country Dances from the 17th and 18th centuries (think Pride & Prejudice) and traditional folk dances through to more modern dances. First night FREE then £3 per person. Refreshments provided. Every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month. from 7:30pm to 9:30pm at Victoria Hall, Civic Way, Middlewich, CW10 9BX.
