| Description: | We are an English Folk Dance Club, founded in 1979, and based in Holloway in the middle of Derbyshire, a few miles from Matlock, Cromford and Crich. We meet fortnightly on Wednesday evenings. Additionally, we run a Saturday evening dance with a band for music in May each year, plus an annual costume Playford Ball. We do English dances ranging from the 17th century to new ones written this year, plus the occasional American, contra or square. Our regular Wednesday club evenings are held fortnightly. We meet, from 7.30 to 10.00 pm, on the 2nd, 4th and (if there is one) 5th Wednesday in each month. We dance mostly traditional English Folk Dances. Venue: Florence Nightingale Memorial Hall, Holloway, Matlock, DE4 5AR.
